The day my life changed. 23/04/16
As an interstate truck driver we don't get many days off or public holidays like most people get.
Due to your products and needs, they still need to be transported keeping the country running.
I have also been working on my bike since the start of 2016; my bike was a 2011 Harley Davidson Fatboy,
I had been spending any spare time I’ve had to customize it.
And after redesigning and completing the desired result I had only just put it back on the road,
With work and the redesigning of the bike I have only had one ride in the year of 2016,
On the long weekend of 23/04 Anzac weekend. I finally got a weekend off,
I had organized some time away on the bike,
So while riding my Harley I was travelling southbound along the M1 towards the Gold Coast.
Perfect day for riding and then within a second it was spoilt, Caused by a passenger travelling in a red utility.
Who kindly flicked his smoke out the window into my face. (Sadly it’s the wrong brand) Bad timing some say. Sadly No.
(But that's another story.) No not when they watch you as you approached the vehicle in the left lane.
Due to his actions and having the smoke land in the face. I had lost control of the bike and hit the concrete barrier on the off ramp as I was approaching it, at the Nerang broad beach Rd off ramp.

Sustaining serious ligament injuries, fighting to save my life after my artery was cut and a severed my foot I was laying there upon the bitumen and listening to the bike slide up the road.
Luckily enough an off duty paramedic on his way to work stopped and minutes later
an off duty nurse who just finished hers stopped and assisted me.
Yep know surprise the Ute carried on even though he watched it unfold they were still beside me when I impacted the wall.
"Wouldn't expect anything less from a low life."
When I was finally placed into an ambulance it had been 20 min on the ground.
Not easy to hold you leg in the air for 20min and not put it down on the stub.
The surgical teams did some long hours and many operations, the teams both Plastic surgical and Orthopedics having to work long and tireless hours over the first few weeks of being in Gold Coast University Hospital,
